Deployment & Support
The Web Template Solution provides two deployment strategies:
Browser-based
deployment
When the user visits the
intranet web templates page, the base Web Template
Solution is automatically installed on the user's system. The user
can then select individual or all templates which are then downloaded ready
for use. The Word menu is dynamically built reflecting the downloaded
templates.
This strategy
requires the end user to have sufficient permissions to effect the download
and installation.
Package
deployment
The
Web Template Solution components and templates
are deployed using the organisations in-house deployment tools.
This strategy may
be utilised where the organisation's IT standards do not grant the user
sufficient rights to complete a browser-based deployment.
SharePoint Portal server compatible TheWeb Template Solution complements Microsoft’s document portal environment,
SharePoint Portal Server, providing a comprehensive solution
for document creation and management.
System Requirements Server: Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 4.0 or
later.
Client: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later.
Microsoft Office 97 or later.
